The Board of Trustees will hold their next regular monthly meeting Wednesday, October 14th at 7pm in the library office. Everyone is encouraged to attend the board meetings.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jeanne Williams as our new library Director. She has been the library Director for Lamar County Library District (Mississippi) for the last nine years. She comes to us with a wide background in library services and is eager to help the district become the best it can be. She will be around for our June board meeting on the 11th and her first day will be the end of June.
We have books. Kids and Adult and Large print. We are ready to try checking them out. Stop by and we will experiment on you to see if it works.
Don't forget that Summer Reading Sign ups start June 8th. We will have weekly programs out in the district and books to check out for the kids. Watch for more information soon.
The Board of Trustees announces the appointment of a new library director for the district. Jeanne Williams, currently the director of the Lamar County Library District, will begin her new job June 29th.
Jeanne has been the director of the four branch Lamar County Library District for nine years. Lamar County Library District serves a population of 58,801 in Mississippi with branches that serve a range of communities from small and rural to an urban area.
She comes to us with a variety of library experience and is excited to be moving to Skagit County.
The Board of Trustees of the Central Skagit Rural Partial County Library District will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 7 p.m. Note this is a change to the regular schedule. The meeting will take place in at the library office, 100 W State Street, Suite C, Sedro Woolley. This is an open meeting and the public is welcome to attend.
The library is pleased to announce it has narrowed its director search to three finalists: Rosemary Bebris, currently Director at the Florence Community Library, Arizona; Jennifer Fenton, currently Training Coordinator with the Washington State Library, Olympia; and Jeanne Williams, Director of the Lamar County Library System, Purvis, Mississippi. There will be three public forums for district members to meet the individual candidates: May 18, 20, and 21 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the library office. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings. The board will hold an executive session May 22 to discuss the director selection, that meeting will be a closed meeting.

The Central Skagit Library District is pleased to announce that Mary Alice Grobins has been appointed as trustee to the library board. She will complete the term vacated by Rich Weyrich which will conclude in March 2016. Grobins brings to the board a background in business management, facilities planning, and information technology.
